Lindsey Graham Precinct Captain Endorses Graham's Opponent Lee Bright

  
  
  
 
  

Fairfield County GOP Chairman, and former Lindsey Graham Precinct Captain, has switched to campaigning for Graham's Republican Party primary opponent: SC State Senator Lee Bright. This personal endorsement speaks to a growing sentiment across the state, as many other leaders are stepping up to support Lee in this race. At a time when Graham is defying conservative voters and smearing people like Senator Ted Cruz, we’re honestly not surprised that leaders within his campaign are defecting.
 
“The more I thought about his votes over the last few years - time after time voting with Democrats and the President on some issues -I was really frustrated,” said Thomas of Graham. “I just couldn’t be his precinct captain anymore.” One of the last straws for Thomas was Graham’s “going against Ted Cruz recently. I just can’t stand with (Graham) any more.”
 
Thomas is not fazed by the conventional band wagon appeal that hypes Graham as an incumbent, pointing out, “I was on the ground when we defeated John Spratt. People said we couldn’t beat him. We did, and when people get behind Lee Bright the same way. We can defeat Lindsey Graham.” 

  
A normal day for Lindsey Graham is to have breakfast while reading about another SC County Republican Party passing a resolution to censure him. He was censured by five counties in a 3 month period.

It is a rare opportunity, for the voters, when they are no longer expected to choose the "lesser of two evils".  SC State Senator Lee Bright is running against Lindsey Graham. Lindsey Graham speaks proudly about his abandonment of the Bill of Rights. In addition to denying the right to an attorney, Lindsey Graham is also openly advocates abolition of the right to a trial by jury, the right to be considered innocent until proven guilty, & the right to remain silent. All these rights are to be swept away by simply making accusations that need not be judged by any jury. He has also, at other times, advocated the suspension of Habeous Corpus.

Sen. Bright sponsored the Constitutional Carry Act of 2013. Constitutional Carry means that, within a given jurisdiction, carrying of concealed firearms is not restricted by law. When a state or other jurisdiction has adopted Constitutional Carry, it is legal for law-abiding citizens to carry a handgun, firearm, or other weapon concealed with or without an applicable permit or license.
Sen. Bright says “The Second Amendment says that our rights to have firearms cannot be infringed upon and that’s what the federal government is doing right now. If you want to change the Constitution, change the Constitution but the Constitution clearly says that those rights shall not be infringed, and once you have to have a permit to assert a right then you can start requiring people to have permits to speak and a lot of other things.” Requiring a permit to exercise a constitutional right, is the same as infringing the right.
